The South Lake Fire Safe Council synthesizes private sector expertise and government agency resources for the task of local fire prevention. It serves residents and property owners in the 286-square-mile South Lake County Fire Protection District, California's third largest fire district.
Board President David Henderson of Anderson Springs chairs the non-profit group of board members plus citizen members. SLFSC officers are, David Henderson, President; Liz Black, Vice-President; Marty Englander, Secretary and interim Treasurer and Bob Marelli (Director).
Interested members of the community are invited to become volunteers and attend the monthly meetings. The South Lake Fire Safe Council is held on the first Saturday of each month at 10:00 AM at the South Lake Fire Protection District Fire Station; located at 21095 Highway 175, Middletown, CA.
